Microssérie impressiona pela qualidade, mas não faz jus à trajetória e à importância cultural de Luiz Gonzaga
Quem conhece mais ou menos a fundo a biografia do cantor e compositor Luiz Gonzaga (1912-1989) notaria de antemão a dificuldade de narrá-la, com a devida profundidade, em apenas 4 episódios de meia hora – ou um longa-metragem de duas horas. O cineasta Breno Silveira decidiu correr o risco, e o resultado, se não foi perfeito, passou longe de ser ruim. Exibida pela Globo na semana passada, a microssérie Gonzaga – De Pai para Filho é uma obra bem-feita e emocionante, mas peca por tratar superficialmente alguns aspectos fundamentais da trajetória dos dois protagonistas.
A reconstituição de época, a excelente direção e a afinação do elenco encabeçam a lista de atrativos. Silveira teve a preocupação extra em escalar atores fisicamente parecidos aos personagens reais, o que fez a diferença no resultado final e encheu os olhos do espectador. Os grandes destaques foram o jovem Land Vieira e o experiente, embora pouco conhecido, Júlio Andrade. O primeiro impressionou ao reviver os anos de adolescência de Luiz Gonzaga, quando foge de sua cidade natal após se apaixonar por Nazinha (a meiga e expressiva Cecília Dassi). Já Andrade marcou a interpretação mais densa da produção, perfeito nos mínimos detalhes de Gonzaguinha adulto.
Adélio Lima e Chambinho do Acordeon também chamaram a atenção nesse sentido; ambos possuem o mesmo sorriso franco que marcou a expressão do personagem real. O músico Chambinho, em sua estreia como ator, teve uma performance digna na pele de Gonzagão dos 25 aos 50 anos. No entanto, sua inexperiência se fez sentir e chegou a prejudicar o desempenho de algumas sequências importantes, como a em que tem forte discussão com Gonzaguinha (Giancarlo di Tomazzio) por conta das ideias comunistas do filho.
Na pele de Odaleia, grande amor de Gonzagão, a visada atriz Nanda Costa não marcou como de costume. Menos por seu desempenho que pela superficialidade com que o roteiro retratou esse personagem fundamental da trajetória do cantor pernambucano. Outra participação controversa foi a de Roberta Gualda, cuja Helena se viu muito estereotipada e vilanizada como “madrasta má” de Gonzaguinha, em detrimento de uma abordagem mais humana da personagem.
Apesar disso, a narrativa de Gonzaga – De Pai para Filho consegue se sobressair pelo ótimo acabamento técnico e artístico, tendo chegado a emocionar muitas vezes. Seja pela qualidade dos diálogos de Patrícia Andrade ou pela competência da direção de Breno Silveira, com certeza cativou e mexeu com os corações, tanto dos admiradores dos dois artistas como dos mais leigos. A trilha sonora, devida abastecida com composições do pai e do filho, foi pontual ao longo da produção e serviu para relembrar as melhores criações dos dois. Uma nostalgia tão agradável como indispensável.
Gonzaga – De Pai para Filho foi uma merecida e justa homenagem ao “Rei do Baião” e a seu filho Gonzaguinha, e só não se tornou melhor pela falta de uma duração mais longa. Pena que a Globo não se interessou em narrar a história em moldes mais extensos, como fez por exemplo em Um Só Coração (2004) e A Casa das Sete Mulheres (2003) – formato que, aliás, está fazendo falta na grade da emissora e jamais deveria ter sido abandonado.
