A banda, que comemora 59 anos de carreira, promete fazer todo mundo cantar, dançar e festejar a boa música com sua nove turnê “Do Vinil ao Digital”.
The Fevers surgiram em 1965 quando o baixista Liebert fundou com seus amigos Pedrinho da Luz, Almir Bezerra, Cleudir Borges e Lécio Nascimento, o conjunto The Fenders. Os integrantes mudaram de nome porque Fender era marca de guitarra. Então, o guitarrista Pedrinho lembrou-se de uma música de Elvis Presley chamada Fever, assim os integrantes mudaram o nome do conjunto para The Fevers.
“A mudança do vinil para o CD começou de forma gradual, depois acelerou direto”, diz o atual vocalista Luiz Claudio. “Entre 1995 e 2000 lançávamos nossos trabalhos nas duas mídias”
E os reis do baile garantem muitos sucessos com Liebert (baixo), Luiz Claudio (vocal), Rama (guitarra e violão), Otávio Henrique (bateria) e Claudio Mendes (teclados e vocal) comandando a festa. Hits como as músicas “Mar de rosas” e “Vem me ajudar” estão em todos os shows
Para a banda os shows inesquecíveis aconteceram no Maracanãzinho, com participação de Tim Maia, quando The Fevers completaram 20 anos. Outro show que marcou foi na Quinta da Boa Vista, também no Rio de Janeiro. Uma experiência importante foi a gravação, em Recife, do DVD do grupo em 2005. The Fevers também marcou presença em vídeo no DVD de 50 anos da Jovem Guarda, que aconteceu em São Paulo ao lado de Erasmo Carlos, Golden Boys e Wanderléa, que se tornou uma turnê de quase um ano.
O trabalho mais recente do grupo, o álbum “Vem dançar 2” contou com ótima gravação e repertório selecionado.
Atualmente, a banda conta com mais de cem mil inscritos em seu canal do YouTube.
